Terms of Service

Plain language first: This is business management software. You use it to run your shop. We charge a subscription. You own your data. We don't sell it or look at it. If something isn't working, contact us and we'll fix it.

1. Who We Are

Covenant Works Business Suite ("the Service") is a product of Crafted by Design, LLC, owned and operated by John Sydnor, Augusta, Georgia.

2. The Service

The Service is a web-based business management application designed for laser engravers, makers, and craft business owners. It includes tools for job tracking, invoicing, inventory management, expense tracking, AI-assisted quoting and listing generation, and related features.

By creating an account and using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Subscriptions and Payment

The Service is offered on a subscription basis with the following tiers:

Free — Core tools at no charge
Maker Premium — Full maker business suite, billed monthly
Maker Pro — Everything plus advanced growth tools, billed monthly
Business Pro — Full suite for service operators and trades, billed monthly

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment card information.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time through the in-app subscription management portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to your registered email address.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. One account per person; do not share credentials.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to abuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent activity.

5. Your Data

Your business data — jobs, customers, invoices, inventory, expenses, and all related records — is stored in our Firebase infrastructure (Google Cloud), in a dedicated space secured by per-user access rules. Only you can read or write your own data. Crafted by Design does not access your business records in the normal course of operating the Service.

You own your data. You can export it at any time using the in-app Export feature. Upon account closure and written request, we will delete your business data within 30 days.

We collect account-level information (your email address, subscription status, and aggregate usage statistics) to operate and improve the Service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you use these features, your input (prompts, product descriptions, questions) is sent to Anthropic's servers to generate a response. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content — laser settings, pricing suggestions, listing copy, tax estimates — is provided for informational purposes only. Always verify AI-generated information independently before relying on it for business or tax decisions. We are not liable for errors in AI-generated output.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
Attempt to circumvent subscription tiers or payment requirements
Use the AI features to generate harmful, deceptive, or illegal content
Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service

8. Availability and Uptime

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances outside our control. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime.

During beta testing periods, the Service may change frequently. Features may be added, modified, or removed with limited notice.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Crafted by Design and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your personal business purposes only.

Content you create using the Service (your job records, invoices, listings) remains yours.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no warranty that the Service will be error-free, that AI outputs will be accurate, or that data will never be lost. Always maintain your own backups using the Export feature.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crafted by Design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notification before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Richmond County, Georgia.
